Do you accept insurance?
Dr. Keys does not currently accept insurance. She can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Do you work with all ages?
Dr. Keys works with teens 13-18, young adults, adults, as well as families with teens and young adults.
Why don’t you accept insurance?
Contracting with insurance companies greatly limits the therapy experience. Many insurance companies require a diagnosis for reimbursement, which often limits patients to too few sessions each year, and interferes with patient care.
What is EMDR? Who is it for?
EMDR is a technique that helps people heal from trauma and other distressing experiences. EMDR is often a treatment sought out when individuals have tried therapy for some time and have not found the success they are looking for. EMDR is most effective with individuals who can self-reflect in order to gain perspective about their past.
What happens after I schedule a session?
You will receive an email to set up an account in the portal. You will be asked to complete intake forms. The portal provides you with access to future appointments and billing, all of which is HIPPA compliant and confidential.
Do you offer sliding scale fees?
Dr. Keys has a limited number of sliding scale spots available. Schedule a free consultation to inquire about availability.
How much does therapy cost?
Therapy sessions are $250 for a 50 minute appointment. A credit or debit card will be kept on file for ease of payment, including an FSA/HSA card. If you are interested in a lecture or workshop for your clinic or group, schedule a consultation with Dr. Keys to inquire about pricing.
Can a parent or partner pay for my therapy?
Yes. Your client portal will have a space to fill out credit or debit card information. You can add the payment information and it will be automatically charged after each session. If you need to change your form of payment, you can update it in the portal.
Where do we meet?
Currently, Dr. Keys offers tele-health sessions. You will need a private space where you feel comfortable. It is recomended that you use a computer and secure WIFI for tele-health sessions.
How long does therapy take?
Therapy is an investment that can change the trajectory of your life. Your healing is of the utmost importance. The length of time it takes to complete your treatment goals is specific to you. Dr. Keys will work closely with you to tailor therapy and check in about noticeable improvements, as well as areas where you continue to feel stuck.
